On this tab the following fields can be viewed:

To capture changes on this tab, click on the Apply button.  When the Apply button is clicked, where a new asset number is entered, the asset number and the data entered on this tab is inserted into the Asset Master table.

 

Where the asset number is an existing asset number, the Asset Master table is updated with the changes made on this tab.

hmtoggle_plus1Asset can be Loaned

This setting governs whether or not the selected asset may be loaned.  When checked, it indicates that the selected asset can be loaned.

hmtoggle_plus1Long Description

It displays the description 1 and description 2 of the selected asset from the Asset Master table.

 

It is an alphanumeric field with a maximum length of 500 characters (optional).

 

hmtoggle_plus1Model

It is an optional field used to document the model of an asset, for example, 1995 model.

 

It is an alphanumeric field with a maximum length of 50 characters.

 

hmtoggle_plus1Make

It is an optional field used to document the make of an asset, for example, Toyota Corolla.

 

It is an alphanumeric field with a maximum length of 50 characters.

 

hmtoggle_plus1Part Number

It displays the part number of the selected asset, from the Asset Master table where the part number on the Asset Master table is equal to the part number on the Part Master table.

 

When adding a part number, it is populated with the part number and the part description from the Part Master table.

 

The number of characters to be entered before the list is shown is governed by the value of "populate length".

 

The part number should be used when the asset number is defined as a part on the Part Master .  This part, will usually be a non-fixed account, non-MRP planned part.

 

Presently, the part's financial year cost and the asset's Take On Value is not compared, and may differ.

 

hmtoggle_plus1Serial Number

It displays the serial number of the selected asset, from the Asset Master table.

 

When adding an asset number, you can enter a serial number, if applicable.  The serial number does not need to match any predefined serial number, even if a part number is selected.

 

It is an alphanumeric text field with a maximum length of 50 characters.

 

hmtoggle_plus1Take on Value History

This listbox shows the history of all Take On Value changes. It displays the date the record was changed, the previous take on value, and the reason the value was changed.
