The purpose of this tab is to define different Day Types to which Shifts can be linked. Examples of day types would be Normal Workday, Weekend Day, Public Holiday, Plant or  Maintenance, Shift day etc. The user also defines the shifts that are linked to day types on this tab. One or more shifts has to be linked to a day type in order to be able to use the shift in a Calendar. When a day type is linked to a calendar and the user wishes to change the shift from one shift to another the trigger will prevent the user to delete all shifts and then add the new shift. The user should first add the new shift and then delete the shift not required anymore.

The shifts linked to this calendar are listed in this frame.  It populates from the Day_Shift table.  At least one shift must be linked to a Day Type if that Day Type is uswed on a calendar. When a day type is linked to a calendar and the user wishes to change the shift from one shift to another the trigger will prevent the user to delete all shifts and then add the new shift. The user should first add the new shift and then delete the shift not required anymore.

This button will link the selected day types and shifts to the calendar and display it in the assigned shift frame.

This frame is used to add, delete and maintain day types.   The updates are done in the Day Type table.

Select is used to select a row to which day types is top be linked and to view the shifts linked to the selected day type.

Delete is selected to delete day types that is not used on calendars anymore.

Name is a user defined name that will populate on the view Calendar tab in conjunction with the colour selected for the specific day type.

Description is a user defined description for the Day Type and will be populated in the Day drop down combo's on the Calendar tab.

Color is the colour associated with the day type which will be used to identify the particular Day Type on the View Calendar tab in the Calendar.

Apply is clicked to write the data or changes to the data to the Day type table.

When any changes are made to Day types by adding new shifts or deleting shifts or changes are made to Shifts, a message that effects calendars, a message that reads:-

"A shift or Day Shift has been changed. You need to  Re-Build as there exists Calendar days Affected by the change" will be displayed at the bottom of the screen and the Re-Build Cal button will be enabled. When this botton is clicked a mas rebuild of the calendars will be performed.

Shift Name is user defined data to describe the shift.

Description allows the user to describe the shift.

Start is the normal Starting Time of the shift. These times will reflect in the schedules created for Order Operations in the Estimated Start Date in order to calculate the date and time the operation should Start and End. It is visible on the Shop floor Scheduler  when the resolution selected is Hours.

Duration The Duration of a shift is used too calculate the Estimated Start and Completion dates on the Order Operations in according to the operation settings.

Apply is clicked to write the data or changes to the data to the Shift table.

Clicking this button will populate with all shifts linked to the selected calendar. Only one record must be selected in the Day Type frame in order to view the shifts linked to that day type.
