Accounts

The Accounts tab is used to define the recovery accounts for production and project management labour and overhead costs. The accounts are only required for Direct type Cost Centres and are used when journals are posted to back flush labour and overhead costs and as such credit Cost Centres where linked work centres performed production or maintenance operations. (Reversals of production or shipping movements will of course result in debit journals being posted to the same accounts). The Production Recovery accounts are used when non-project related orders are completed, whereas, the Project Management Recovery accounts are applied when project managers approve project time sheets.

On this tab the following fields can be viewed:

The user must have a security profile linked to the function Cost Centre with an access allowed of Change.

The Apply button is only enabled if Cost Centre type is direct and a valid Cost Centre has been selected.

When the Apply button is clicked, the fields, Cost Centre type, production labour account, production overhead account, project management labour

account, project management overhead account, project fixed overhead account, and the project management fixed overhead account, on the Cost Centre table, is updated.

It is populated with the account, Cost Centre/Division, and description from the Accounts and Account Codes table where:

•	The account code in both tables is the same,

•	The Cost Centre in the Accounts table equal the selected Cost Centre,

•	The status in the Accounts table is Active (A), and

•	The account matches the account entered by the user.

The Production Fixed Overhead Account, is used by the following journals:

Production to Scrap Journal

Rework to Scrap Journal

Rework to Stores Journal

Production to Stores Journal

Shipping Journal For Non-Stocked or Exploded

Requirements Having Order Operations

Shipping Journal For Non-Stocked Having Exploded

Requirements With No Order Operations

It is populated with the account, Cost Centre/Division, and description from the Accounts and Account Codes table where:

•	The account code in both tables is the same,

•	The Cost Centre in the Accounts table is equal to the selected Cost Centre,

•	The status in the Accounts table is Active (A), and

•	The account matches the account entered by the user.

The Production Labour Account, is used by the following journals:

Production to Scrap Journal

Rework To Scrap Journal

Rework to Stores Journal

Production to Stores Journal

Shipping Journal For Non-Stocked or Exploded

Requirements Having order Operations

Shipping Journal For Non-Stocked Having Exploded

Requirements with No Order Operations

It is populated with the account, Cost Centre/Division, and description from the Accounts and Account Codes table where:

•	The account code in both tables is the same,

•	The Cost Centre in the Accounts table equal the selected Cost Centre,

•	The status in the Accounts table is Active (A), and

•	The account matches the account entered by the user.

The Production Variable Overhead Account, is used by the following journals:

Production To Scrap Journal

Rework to Scrap Journal

Rework to Stores Journal

Production to Store Journal

Shipping Journal For Non-Stocked or Exploded

Requirements Having Order Operations

Shipping Journal For Non-Stocked Having Exploded

Requirements With No Order Operations

It is populated with the account, Cost Centre/Division, and description from the Accounts and Account Codes table where:

•	The account code in both tables is the same,

•	The Cost Centre in the Accounts table equals the selected Cost Centre, and

•	The status in the Accounts table is Active (A).

This account is credited when timesheets entered by an employee of this Cost Centre, are approved via the function Node Timesheet Approval.

It is populated with the account, Cost Centre/Division, and description from the Accounts and Account Codes table where:

•	The account code in both tables is the same,

•	The Cost Centre in the Accounts table equals the selected Cost Centre,

•	The status in the Accounts table is Active (A), and

•	The account matches the account entered by the user.

This account is credited when timesheets entered by an employee of this Cost Centre, are approved via the function Timesheet Approval.

It is populated with the account, Cost Centre/Division, and description from the Accounts and Account Codes table where:

•	The account code in both tables is the same,

•	The Cost Centre in the Accounts table equals the selected Cost Centre, and

•	The status in the Accounts table is Active (A).

This account is credited when timesheets entered by an employee of this Cost Centre, are approved via the function Node Timesheet Approval.

The accounts fields display the accounts linked to the selected Cost Centre.

If the Cost Centre type is Direct, these accounts are maintainable by the Cost Centre manager. If the cost centre type is Indirect these accounts are disabled.

It is populated with the account, Cost Centre/Division, and description from the Accounts and Account Codes table where:

•	The account code in both tables is the same,

•	The Cost Centre in the Accounts table equals the

•	selected Cost Centre, and

•	The status in the Accounts table is Active (A).

This account is credited when transport claims are entered by an employee of this Cost Centre, are approved via the function Transport Administration.
