The message displayed shows the part number and description, part source and the applicable error message.

The error message will specify that either material, labor, sub-contract, or transfer costs could not be calculated or extracted for the listed parts. (This is mostly due to a lack of part financial year records or cost center labor rates for the specified financial year).

It is advised that the listed errors be fixed prior to running the cost generation in update mode.
