The "Apply" button is enabled when a line is selected in either the Parts Crated Not Yet Transferred or Stocklist boxes or the Movement To Be Returned grid.  When the "Apply" button is clicked the following updates are performed:

1.The system validates that all the mandatory data is entered/selected.

2.The stored procedure, Movement Store Crating is executed. If you are not using the front end for updates, the following parameters can be passed to the stored procedure:

3.The system determines the movement's financial year.

5.The part's fixed account indicator, source and controlling division are selected from the Part Master table.

6.If the Stock Valuation Method is Standard Cost "S", the part is a fixed account, the part source is Interplant "I", and the division selected is the part's controlling division, the unit price is calculated as the (material price + labour price + subcontract price + variable overhead price + fixed overhead price). The transfer price will not be included with the Transfer to Store movement.

If the controlling division is not equal to the from store movement's division, the unit price is calculated as:

(Material Price + Labour Price + Subcontract Price + Variable Overhead Price + Fixed Overhead Price).  The unit cost are the same as the above except that the transfer price will be included with the Transfer to Store movement.

If the stock valuation method is standard, the movement unit cost will be equal to the selected location average unit cost of the transit store from which the stock are being returned.

The account on the Return to Store is debited with the unit price and the Inter Divisional Clearance Account on the Return to Store Division is credited with the unit price (see Store to Transfer on the Movement Historyfunction).

At the same time the account on the From Transito Store is debited with the unit price and the Inter Divisional Clearance Account on the From Transito Store's Division is credited with the unit price (see Transfer to Store on the Movement History function). The transfer price will not be included with the Transfer to Store movement.

If the source on the selected part number (Part Master) is not equal to Interplant "I" but equal to Purchased "P", Subcontract "S", Phantom "N" or Manufactured "M") then the same journals and movements are created except that the transfer price is not included in the unit price.

Journals will be entered for all fixed account parts with a stock status of new or used and where the external organisation of the selected location from which stock is transferred is equal to spaces.

7.The in transit quantity on the Stock Transfer Requisition table is updated with the (in transit quantity - the returned quantity).

8. The Update Location stored procedure is executed.

If the (existing quantity on hand + the adjustment quantity on hand = 0) and the existing quantity on hand is not equal to zero, the record is deleted from the Location table

ELSE

If the existing quantity on hand is not equal to zero, the Location table is updated for the selected part number, serial number, division code, store code, location, stock status and organisation code. The following fields on the Location table are updated:

Quantity on Hand = Quantity on Hand + Movement Adjustment Quantity on Hand.

Quarantine Quantity = Quarantine Quantity + Movement Adjustment Quarantine Quantity.

Allocated Quantity = Allocated Quantity + Movement Adjustment Allocated Quantity.

If a location with a different revision number already exists on the Location table, another location number must be entered.

If the location does not exist, a new record is inserted into the Location table i.e. the movement part number, serial number, division code, store code, location, stock status, organisation code, quantity on hand, remaining DOL units, quarantine quantity, allocated quantity and revision are inserted into the Location table.

9.  The movement is created (See the Movement History function).
