Training Manuals Alphabetical Function List Back Print this Topic Previous topicOne level upNext topic

This function is used to define local and foreign currency codes and symbols that your company has business dealings in.

The conversion factors for your base currency to foreign currency "buying" and "selling" rates with validity periods are also maintained via this function.  Currency codes are used in numerous places in Qmuzik including Debtors, Creditors, Purchasing, sales etc.

Also see the help on Buying Rate and Selling Rate.

When purchasing or supplying countries in the EMU- zone (Economic and Monetary Union), a multiple currency conversion need to be made from the local currency unit to the Euro currency and then to the foreign currency unit.

The multiple currency conversion to and from the Euro currency is not currently interpreted by functions in the system, and needs to be performed manually.

The user must have a security profile linked to the function Currency Codes with an access allowed of Inquiry.
