On this tab the following fields can be viewed:

This check box identifies a selected Hazard division code as being either active or inactive. In the table, active records will carry a value of 1, whilst inactive records will carry a value of 0.

 

New Hazard division codes must be added as active.

When an attempt is made to delete a Hazard division code and the attempt fails since the code has been linked to parts or commodities, future use can be prevented by setting the record to inactive (un-checking the box).

The ADD button enables when a unique Hazard division code is typed, but only if the user has a security profile to which the function Dangerous Goods Regulation has been linked with add-rights.

Click the add-button to insert a new record to the table.

The CHANGE button enables when an existing Hazard division code is selected, but only if the user has a security profile to which the function Dangerous Goods Regulation has been linked with change-rights.

Change the class, descriptions, active setting or notes and click the change-button to update the record in the table.

The DELETE button enables when an existing Hazard division code is selected, but only if the user has a security profile to which the function Dangerous Goods Regulation has been linked with delete-rights.

To delete a UN number, click the delete-button to permanently remove the record from the table.

This field allows for 10 characters to specify the hazard class for the selected hazard division code. Type a new class or select an existing class.

The description of the hazard class (up to 100 characters long).  If an existing class has been selected the description will be defaulted and disabled.  If a new class is typed, the class description is entered in this field.

This field allows for 10 characters and specifies the Hazard Division Code (e.g. 1.1, 1.2, 2.1 etc). Refer to IATA manual for the valid classes and division codes). Most classes have sub-divisions. If a class has no sub-divisions, make the division code = the hazard class.

This field allows for a description of 100 characters to describe the hazard division e.g. gas, flammable, gas, non-flammable/non-toxic OR gas, toxic.

The selection of a Hazard division code will automatically display all the part numbers in your data base that have been linked to the selected code. The list displays the part number, description, source, planner and buyer of the linked part(s).

This field is optional and allows notes of up to 255 characters.
