The function allows the user to link deliver to operations to component parts. To assign deliver to operations the user needs to do a product structure inquiry. This is done by selecting the relevant data on the tab "Parameters". Refer to the help on the function "Product Structure Navigation" for details regarding the functionality of this tab. The user must then click on the "Production Del to Ops" or "Repair Del to Ops" tab. On this tab in the column on the left the product structure will be displayed level by level.
To link deliver to operations the user must perform the following.
1. Select (by clicking on the part number) a part number in the structure for which part operations is to be shown and then click on the arrowhead the function will then display the part number selected in the field Manufactured Part and also list all the part operations for the part in the grid
The user can select a manufactured part number from the list. The list will only populate with part in the structure for which part operations exists. Only part operations with the following conditions will be populated in the grid. The type of operation is Production "P" or Both Maintenance and Production "B", and The status effective date is greater than or equal to today's date and the active status is Active "A" or
The status effective date is less than or equal to today's date and the active status is Inactive "I".
2. Select the part in the structure to be linked to an operation. In the operations grid select a operation and enter a offset lead time if necessary then click on apply. The data will be inserted to the table "Product Structure"
Note: Deliver to Operations cannot be linked to level 0 parts. Only one deliver to operation can exist for a component/ manufacturing part.
