The function is used define the denomination of life in which a piece of equipment's lifespan and service intervals are measured. The function gives the user the ability to create user definable denomination of life codes and descriptions.

The add button will be enabled when the user has a profile to which add for the function is linked, and a new DOL Code is entered into the control. When add is clicked, the data entered on the form will be entered into the Denomination of life Table. |
When an existing Denomination of life record is selected, and he user has a security profile to which the function is linked with change rights enabled, the change button will be enabled and if changes are made to the data and change is clicked, the data will be updated. |
When an existing Denomination of life record is selected, and he user has a security profile to which the function is linked with delete rights enabled, the delete button will be enabled and if clicked, the data will be deleted unless the DOL code has been linked to an existing equipment Id. |
The DOL description is the descriptive data that the user wishes to use in order to describe the denomination of life. The Description will also be displayed on forms and in columns in the equipment base function. Up to a maximum of 70 characters may be used to describe the denomination of life units. |
The DOL Code is the key to the denomination of life definition as created by the user. The code allows the user to enter ten characters and may be as descriptive as the user whishes. |
The list of items linked here will represent the equipment to which a specific denomination of life is linked. The list may come in handy when the user decides to change a specific code to inactive or just to view the equipment, which uses a specific denomination of life code. |
