This function is applied to add and maintain statuses that can be applied to track the status and status history for external objects.

The function External Objects is used to apply statuses.

Some statuses cannot be maintained as they are indicated as belonging to the "system".

On this tab the following fields can be viewed:

hmtoggle_plus1Active

This option specifies whether the status code is active or inactive.  If checked, the code is active and will be displayed for selection on other functions. If UN-checked, the code is inactive and will not be displayed for selection on other functions.

When an attempt is made to delete a status code but the attempt fails since other functions have already applied the status code, the only option to prevent future use of a status code is to UN-check the "Active" option.

hmtoggle_plus1Add

The ADD button enables if a unique status code is entered and if you have a security profile to which the function EXTERNAL OBJECT STATUS is linked with add-rights. Click the add-button to insert a new record to the table Doc_Object_Status.

hmtoggle_plus1Change

The CHANGE button enables when an existing status code is selected, but only if you have a security profile to which the function External Object Status has been linked with change-rights. Click the change-button to update a record in the table Doc_Object_Status.

When an attempt is made to delete a status code but the attempt fails since other functions have already applied the status code, the only option to prevent future use of a status code is to UN-check the "Active" option. Click the delete-button to remove a record from the table Doc_Object_Status.
