On this tab the following fields can be viewed:

The user must have a security profile linked to the function External Object Store with an access allowed of Add.

 

The "Add" button is enabled when a new store is entered. When the "Add" button is clicked, the new store, location and description is inserted into the Object Store table.

 

BUSINESS RULES WHEN ADDING:

 

1.  The store name must be at least 3 characters.

2.  The store location must be at least 3 characters.

When the  button is clicked, the user can select the location of the selected store.

The user must have a security profile linked to the function External Object Store with an access allowed of Change.

 

The "Change" button is enabled when an existing store is entered.  When the "Change" button is clicked, the fields store, description, and location on the Object Store table are  updated.

 

BUSINESS RULES WHEN UPDATING:

 

1.  The store name must be at least than 3 characters.

2.  The store location must be at least 3 characters.

The user must have a security profile linked to the function External Object Store with an access allowed of Delete.

 

This operation will not be performed if this Store ID exists on the following:

 

Table Name

 Field Name

Object Location

 Store ID

 

When the "Delete" button is clicked, the selected store ID will be deleted from the Object Store table.

It is a short narrative description of the selected store (mandatory).

 

It is an alphanumeric field, where the length must be between 3 and 255 characters.

hmtoggle_plus1Location

Displays the full path of the folder that is the selected store.  It is a mandatory alphanumeric field with a maximum length of 255 characters.

 

The location must be a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) (i.e. the first two characters must be "\\" followed by the machine/server name for example \\Print\M1)

hmtoggle_plus1Store

An external object store defines the full path of the folder that contains the external objects.

 

It is populated with the store description from the Object Store table.

 

The number of characters to be entered before the list is shown is governed by the value of "populate length" (mandatory).
