Hand Journal Rules

Hand Journal Rules determine what is to be populated in the Reference field in the grid on the first tab.  

 

On this tab the following fields can be viewed:

You must have a security profile linked to the function Hand Journal with an access allowed of Add.

 

The Add button is enabled when a new rule name is captured.

 

When the Add button is clicked, the new rule and particulars is inserted in the Hand Journal Rules table.

You must have a security profile linked to the function Hand Journal with an access allowed of Change.

 

The Change button is enabled when an existing rule is selected.

 

When the Change button is clicked, the fields on the Hand Journal Rules table are updated.

 

hmtoggle_plus1Delete

You must have a security profile linked to the function Hand Journal with an access allowed of Delete.

 

The Delete button is enabled when an existing rule is selected.  When the Delete button is clicked, the rule is deleted from the Hand Journal Rules table.

This field populates with the existing rules from the Hand Journal Rules table.

 

Enter a unique name to add a new rule.

 

hmtoggle_plus1Sql

The SQL for the selected rule is displayed in the result box.

 

Capture or amend this SQL script as required. This will determine what is to be populated in the reference field in the grid on the first tab.  

 

The SQL are limited to the following:

Only two columns can be selected, namely Code and Name
The first field selected will be kept as the referenced value.
If a where clause is used it should be ended with "like %", for example, "Select  Organisation_Code, Name  from External_Organisation where Organisation_Code like %"
