On this tab the following fields can be viewed:

When the Add button is clicked the data of the selected rows is inserted into the Serial Numbers Pending Receipt table.

hmtoggle_plus1Apply

When the apply button is clicked movement records will be inserted to the Movements table for rows selected and journals will be written for each row.

The change button is use to update data for the selected lines in the Serial Numbers Pending Receipt table.

hmtoggle_plus1Delete

The delete button is use to delete records from the Serial Number Pending Receipt table.

hmtoggle_plus1Delivery Note

This field will populate with delivery notes linked to the purchase order line. You can select the delivery note against which the goods are moved.

hmtoggle_plus1Grid

This grid will display Serial and Lot numbers, Quantity, Scanned By and the possible Error Message that might appear.

 

Select option

When checked the row will take part in the calculations when the Add or Apply button is clicked.

 

Serial / Lot Number

This column is referencing the setting on the Part Master table. The field is alpha-numeric and any combination can be entered to represent the serial / lot number.

 

Quantity

This field is linked to the Serial/Lot number field. When the selected part is Serialised the quantity column will be disabled and only one "1" will be displayed.

When Lot Controlled the Quantity field will enable for any quantity to be entered.

 

Scanned By

This column will display the responsible employee that entered the data.

 

Error Messages

When a movement transaction was not successfully performed for the row this is the applicable error message.

It is populated with distinct part numbers and part descriptions from the Order Line and Part Master tables for the selected PO Header where the order type is Purchase Order "PUR".

 

The number of characters to be entered before the list is shown is governed by the value of "populate length"(optional).

By clicking the refresh button the data in the grid is displayed according to the latest data in the Serial Numbers Pending Receipt table.

hmtoggle_plus1Serial Number Like %

This field assist is limiting the amount of records that will populate in the grid for Serialised/Lot controlled parts.

When any character is entered and on clicking the refresh button the grid will populate all records from the table Serial Numbers Pending Receipt starting with the characters entered.

hmtoggle_plus1Short Close

If for the part being received a short close tolerance have been specified on the Part Master this field will be enabled.

If checked the system will, if the quantity being received plus quantity already received falls within the short close tolerance by means of a pop-up screen ask the user if the order should be short closed.

If not checked, the short close tolerance will be ignored.

This is the quantity from the quantity field for all the rows entered.

This is the quantity from the quantity field for all the selected rows.

hmtoggle_plus1Sub Lot Config

On the tab “Multiple Serial Numbers” the user can specify sub lot numbers for a specified lot by clicking on the “Sub Config” button or by entering the Sub lot number manually. Sub Lot numbers will only be allowed for parts that exists in the table “Part Working Life Definition” as sub lot level = 1.

 

The ‘Sub Config” button will only enable if the part being received exists in the table “Part Working Life Definition” as sub lot level = 1.

When the button is clicked a screen will be displayed where the user now can create sub lot numbers.

 

The columns “Sub Lot” and “Working Life” will also be disabled if the part being received does not exist in the table “Part Working Life Definition” as sub lot level = 1

 

Sub Lot’s will be mandatory if the part being received exists in the table “Part Working Life Definition” as sub lot level = 1.

 

When the data is inserted the user must now click “Next” which in turn will bring the part shelf life form to the front where the user must now enter the shelf life data.

If no sub lot were specified the user can also enter the sub lot number in the pop up function “Part Shelf Life” the field Sub Lot will be enabled. Sub Lot’s will be mandatory if the part being received exists in the table “Part Working Life Definition” as sub lot level = 1.

After the user has entered the shelf life data “Apply” must be clicked which in turn will now create and display the sub lot numbers. The system will also assist the user by suggesting a quantity per sub lot based on the quantity selected to be received.

The suggested Sub Lot number, suggested Quantity and Remaining Work Life can be changed by the user before submitting the movement transactions
