It displays the part number and part description from the Part Master table, and the mission and mission description from the MSI Mission table for the currently selected MSI Part.

When an MSI is selected, the system will explode through the structure and find all MSI parts for the parent item, but it does not explode through the MSI parts found.  To get a list of MSI parts within a MSI, enter the parent MSI number as the MSI parent.

When a mission is selected, the "Linked Failures" list box is populated with all the possible failures that can occur for the selected mission.

It is populated with the failure number from the Mission Failure table and the description from the Failure table for the mission selected in the "Available MSI Missions" list box where:

         The MSI part number on the Mission Failure table is equal to the MSI part number key,

         The mission on the Mission Failure table is equal to the mission key, and

         The failure number on the Failure table is equal to the failure number on the Mission Failure table.

When a failure is selected, the user is taken to the "Maintenance Tasks Per Failure" tab where he/she can view and maintain the tasks linked to the failure selected, in the "Linked Tasks" list box.

It is populated with the part number and part description from the Part Master table.

The number of characters to be entered before the list is shown is governed by the value of "populate length" (mandatory).
