The Non Posting Entity represents the grouping of the Chart of Accounts for reporting purposes.
The Non Posting Entity function is used add, amend and maintain Non Posting Entities and Report Set records. A Non Posting Entity and report set must have either a class of Income or Balance sheet.
A Report Set is a unique identifier to which a Non Posting Entity Structure can be linked.

The user must have a security profile linked to the Non Posting Entity function with an access allowed of Add.

The user must have a security profile linked to the Non Posting Entity function with an access allowed of Change.
The Change button is enabled when an existing Non Posting Entity Code is selected. When the Change button is clicked, the class and description on the Non Posting Entity table are updated.
BUSINESS RULES WHEN UPDATING NON POSTING ENTITY DATA: 1. The description must be greater than 3 characters. 2. A Non Posting Entity must be entered. 3. A Class must be selected.

This is a mandatory field where either Balance Sheet "B" or Income "I" must be selected.
Only Non Posting Entities and Account Codes with the same Class can be linked as component Non Posting Entities to the one selected.

The user must have a security profile linked to the Non Posting Entity function with an access allowed for Delete.
The user will not be able to perform this operation where there are component Non Posting Entities linked to it in the structure.
When there are no more component entities linked to the selected Non Parent entity, it is deleted from the Non Posting Entity and Non Posting Entity Structure tables.

It is a short narrative description of the Non Posting Entity Selected.
It is an alphanumeric field where the length must Be between 3 and 70 characters.

It is populated with Non Posting Entities and descriptions from the Non Posting Entity table.
The number of characters to be entered before the list is shown is governed by the value of "populate length" (mandatory).
It is an alphanumeric field where the length must be between 3 and 15 characters.
