On this tab the following fields can be viewed:



When checked, it displays operations that are currently active or inactive (inactive with an effective date in the future).


When unchecked, it displays all operations for the part selected.  Journals referencing this setting include the following:


Production to Scrap journal

Production to Store Journal


When checked (Y), operations that have costs linked to the part are displayed.  When unchecked (N), it displays all operations for the selected part.

Displays the date from when operations are valid (status active) or until operations are invalid (status inactive).  The current date is the default.

The default is the current financial year.  It is populated with the financial year from the Financial Year table.


The number of characters to be entered before the list is shown is governed by the value of "populate length".

The "Linked Operations" list box is populated when a part number is selected in the "Part Number" field and if "Show All Work Centres" is unchecked, a work centre is selected.


It is populated with the sequence number, operation number, type, setup hours, run hours, operation cost calculated as (the labour + overhead + fixed overhead rate) specified hours, cost centre type, operation, cost code, description, work centre and description from the Part Operation, Work Centre, Cost Centre and Cost Centre Fin Year Data tables.


When an operation is selected in the "Linked Operations" list box, the "Operation Maintenance" tab is displayed and populated with selected operation data.

It is populated with the part number and description from the Part Master table.


The number of characters to be entered before the list is shown is governed by the value of "populate length" (mandatory).


When a part number is entered the other fields on the tab are populated.


The user can select a Project, and when a project is selected the user can now add Part Operations for that specific Project and Part.


When checked, operations that have been scheduled for a task are displayed.

When checked it displays operations for the selected part for all work centres.


When unchecked the user can select a work centre inthe Work Centre combo i.e. only operations for the selected work centre will be displayed.

By selecting Capacity Load the records where Capacity load was added (second tab)will be displayed in the grid.

hmtoggle_plus1Source Of Operation

Internal means that the operation takes place internally and external means that somebody outside the company does the operation.  By selecting "Internal", all operations for the selected Part that is done internally will be displayed in the grid.


By selecting both all internal and external operations will be displayed in the grid.

hmtoggle_plus1Type Of Operation

Provides three operation type options, namely, Maintenance (M), Production P) (default), and Operator Task (O) (mandatory). It is populated from the Part Operation table.


It is used to differentiate between production operations, preventative/corrective maintenance tasks and operators tasks.  Some operations are used for both maintenance and production and are classified as such.


Operations that are classified as Maintenance and as both Maintenance and Production are used for Repair Orders of parts identified, on the Part Master as Repairable.
