Show/Hide Hidden Text

This function is applied to predefine the types of statuses that can be allocated to a part/drawing revision.

The statuses become available for selection on the Part master function when revisions are added or maintained on the Revisions tab.

The function provides for a status type, description and comments and allows for the status type to be active or inactive.

The revision status describes the current status of the revision which may include amongst others:

Configuration registered and finalized

Red-line not registered

Red-line registered

Black line

Concept

Planned

The function will disallow the deletion of a status type once it has been applied to 1 or more part revisions.

To prevent further use of a status type, the status can be set to inactive.

On this tab the following fields can be viewed:

hmtoggle_plus1Active

This box is checked to indicate that the status type is still active and can thus be selected on part Master to specify the status of a specific part revision.

New records must be added as active.

To prevent further use of a status type, it can be deleted.

However, if the delete fails due to the type already being linked to 1 or more part revisions, the box can be un-checked to set it to inactive. This will also prevent further use of the status type.

hmtoggle_plus1Add

The add button is clicked to add a new status type.

The button enables if the user has add-rights for the function Part revision status types and if a unique type is specified that has not yet been defined.

hmtoggle_plus1Change

The button enables if the user has delete-rights for the function Part revision status types and if an existing type is selected.
