Part Stock Location

Users can define preferred stock locations for parts through this function. This functionality will interface with all "into" store movements. If a preferred stock location exists, it will

be defaulted during the movement. The movement will also prevent the stock location from receiving more stock than what was predefined against it.

On this tab the following fields can be viewed:

On 'Apply' all new stock locations and changes made to the existing stock locations will be saved to the Part Stock Location table. Those checked to be deleted will be removed from the table. The user must have a security profile linked to the function Part Stock Location with an access of Add, Change and Delete to maintain Part Stock Locations.

This is a read only field that populates with the Controlling Division of the selected part from the Part Master table.

This is a read only field that populates with the ControllingStore of the selected part from the Part Master table.

Delete: - When checked this record will be deleted upon clicking the apply button.

Store Code: - This field populates with all Stores from the Store table excluding 'In Transit Stores'. In the list view the Store Code, Store Description, Division Code and Division Description is displayed. If no default location exist for the part, the controlling store for that part will default to this field.

Division Code: - This field populates from the Store table and displays the Division Code to which the selected Store belongs.

Stock Status: - This field displays the status of the stock (New, Used, Repaired or Waiting Repair) and will populate as follows:

.	All Part numbers populate with New or Used stock.

.	For parts where the MSI PART on Part Master is checked, stock status Waiting repair and Repair will also populate.

.	If no records exist for the part, the stock status will default to new.

Default location: - This is a field that displays locations that already exist on the Part Stock Location table. The location format is set on the selected Store. If set the user is prevented from typing a location in a format other than the selected format or the preferred format. The dropdown arrow will disable if the selected store has no predefined location format.

Location maximum: - Displays the maximum stock quantity on hand allowed for the stock location with a maximum of 99,999,999,999.99999.

Comments: - This is a text field where the user can enter comments of 255 characters.

Default Quarantine Location: - As with the default Location, the location entered here will be used as default when the stock is being quarantined. The location will be used as default location on all the movements where stock can be quarantined.

Location maximum: - Displays the maximum stock quantity on hand allowed for the stock location with a maximum of 99,999,999,999.99999.

It is a short narrative description of the selected part. The length must be between 3 and 50 characters.

This field populates with all the part numbers from the Part Master table. The part number, description and source code of the parts are displayed in the list view.
