Alternate Uom

This field allows you to select an alternate unit of measure

in which to view the quantity required of a component part

number.

Selection of an alternate unit of measure, will immediately

convert the specified Base UOM qty per into the

Only unit of measure for which predefined conversions exist

for the component part will be displayed for selection. The

conversion is performed via the Part UOM conversion function.

It is thus possible to express the quantity per in the part's

base UOM (e.g. pounds, but also view the resulting quantity

in feet or inches or any other predefined conversion for the

selected component part number).
