Maintain Process Types

On this tab the following fields can be viewed:

 

hmtoggle_plus1Active

This check box is applied to specify whether a process type is active or inactive. Check the box if the status is active and to allow the selection of the process type on other functions.

hmtoggle_plus1Add

Click the "add" button to add a new process type after typing a unique process type and completing all related data fields.  Only users with a security profile to which the function "product structure process types" has been linked with add-rights will be allowed to add new records.

hmtoggle_plus1Change

Click the "change" button to update data for a selected process type. Only users with a security profile to which the function "product structure process types" has been linked with change-rights will be allowed to update existing records.

hmtoggle_plus1Delete

Click the "delete" button to delete a selected process type that is no longer required.  Only users with a security profile to which the function "product structure process types" has been linked with delete-rights will be allowed to delete existing records.  If the function disallows the delete of a record since it has already been applied as the reason/process type for 1 or more product structure links, the application of the process type can be viewed via the tab "Linked product structures for process type". The process type must 1st be changed on all such links until the inquiry shows no more results before the delete will be allowed.  As an alternate the status "active" can be un-checked to prevent future use of the process type.

hmtoggle_plus1Description

This field is mandatory and is applied to add a more detailed description for a process type. The function allows for alpha-numeric values up to a max of 100 characters.

hmtoggle_plus1Notes

This field is optional and is applied to add further notes for an even more detailed description for a process type or to describe guidelines for the application of a specific process type. The function allows for alpha-numeric values up to a max of 255 characters.

hmtoggle_plus1Process Type

This field is mandatory and is applied as a unique identifier of a process type. The function allows for alpha-numeric values up to a max of 10 characters
