Applied for Production is a factor in the Product Breakdown

Structure used to increase the Gross requirements of a component

to account for anticipated loss within the manufacturing period

of a product or parent item.

Applied for Costing is a field that specifies whether the scrap cost

(defined in the Product Structure as a percentage) should be taken

into account and as such form part of the direct cost of a part, and

will be applied to inflate the "quantity per" when calculating the  material

cost for its parent part number in the Product Structure.

The scrap percentage can have a value between 0 and 99 percent.
