On this tab the following fields can be viewed:

The requirements for the following Order and Line types can be adjusted:

 

Order types Production, Rework, Repair and Modification Customer order line types Product/Spare sale and Customer Special with Explode Requirements checked, and Repair,

Purchase Order with line types Modification, Repair and Rework.

 

When the  button is clicked, mail is sent to the requirement part planner if the part added is a non MRP planned part.

 

BUSINESS RULES WHEN ADDING:

1.  The required date may not be prior to the start date of the order line.

2.  The required date may not be prior to today's date, and

3.  The quantity required must be greater than zero.

4.  The required date may not be later than the completion date on the order line.

5.  For customer orders where the line type is product sales or spare sales no additional requirements can be added if the "Explode Requirements" field on the order line is not checked.

 

hmtoggle_plus0Allocated Quantity

When stock has been allocated on the Stock Allocation function, the allocated portion of the requirement is displayed here.

 

This field is populated when a specific requirement is selected in the list box.  It is a read only field and cannot be maintained.

 

Once allocated stock has been issued to the order line, the quantity is reduced until it becomes zero.

hmtoggle_plus0Apply Stock of External Organisation

Stock of an External Organization can be used as the required part for the Purchase Order. Only One External organization can exist per requirement.  The field will populate with the Supplier Code and Supplier Name of all active External Organization Codes.

 

If Order Type is "Cust" (Customer) this value will select the External Organization on the Order Master.

If Line Type is "Tran" (Transfer) the field can only be empty.

If 'Apply Floor Stock' is checked (Yes) this field can only be empty.

 

When a part is selected in the list box, the field will enable and allow changes only if the Issued Quantity plus the Allocated Quantity is zero.

 

The number of characters to be entered before the list is shown is

governed by the value of "populate length".

hmtoggle_plus0Apply Floor Stock

1. For all requirements the system will populate the field with stock statuses allowed by the product master settings for the product code on the order line.

 

2. If  "Apply Floor Stock" is checked (Yes) then the apply floor stock status can only be "New"

 

Changes are allowed only if the issued quantity plus the allocated quantity is zero.

The user must have a security profile linked to the function Requirements with an access allowed of Change.

 

BUSINESS RULES WHEN CHANGING:

 

1.  The quantity required may not be less than (the quantity issued + the quantity allocated),

 

2.  The quantity required may be adjusted upwards for line types Repair and Rework,

 

3.  The quantity required must be greater than zero.

 

4.  The required date may not be prior to the start date of the line.

 

5.  The required date may not be later than the completion date on the order Line, and

 

6.  The requirements on Customer Product/Spare Sales with Explode Requirements unchecked or the order line part's requirement for Rework orders or Repair orders may not be changed.

 

Changes to the requisition's required amount will dynamically (Not functional yet) be made on the Order Issue Req (with the status of 'requested')where:

1.  Auto Adjust of Value Order Issue Requisitions (on the Requisition Configuration) is 'Yes'.

2.  And the 'Apply Floor Stock' indicator is 'No';

3.  And the 'Apply Stock of External Organisation' is empty, and

4.  It is a fixed account part.

The user must have a security profile linked to the function Requirements with an access allowed of Delete.

 

When the  button is clicked, the requirement will be deleted from the Requirements table. Requirements with allocations or issues against them cannot be deleted.

 

The requirements on Customer Product/Spare Sales with Explode Requirements unchecked or the order line part as in Rework or Repair Orders, may not be deleted.

 

Changes to the requisition's required amount will dynamically be made on the Order Issue Req (with the status of 'requested')where:

1.        Auto Adjust of Value Order Issue Requisitions (on the Requisition Configuration) is 'Yes'.

2.        And the 'Apply Floor Stock' indicator is 'No';

3.        And the 'Apply Stock of External Organisation' is empty, and It is a fixed account part.

It is the date the order line should be shipped to the customer.

 

It is a read only field that displays the delivery date selected on the "Line" tab.

hmtoggle_plus0Deliver to Operation

The deliver to operation is specified on the Manufacturing Data of the Product Structure from where it will be used by the Insert Requirement stored procedure to insert requirements for the deliver to operation.

 

This field can only be selected once the Requirement Part Number has been entered. Deliver to operations can be maintained by selecting the requirement on which the maintenance is to be performed.

 

If a deliver to operation was specified for the requirement selected, it will be defaulted to this field.   It can either be removed by spacing it out, or by typing an operation in the field and clicking change.

 

It is populated with operations from the Part Operations table if the order line part exists on the Part Operations table.  If an order line part does not exist, any operation can be typed into the field, which will be accepted as a valid deliver to operation.

 

The number of characters to be entered before the list is shown is governed by the value of "populate length" (mandatory).

Fixed Account Parts

When this option is selected, all fixed account part types are viewed.

 

Non-fixed Account Parts

When this option is selected, all the non-fixed account part types are viewed.

hmtoggle_plus0Apply Stock Status

On the requirements tab the field “Apply Stock Status” will populate with stock statuses as specified on the product master for the product code of the order line part.

For example it will be possible to issue repaired stock on a modification order.

If the user selects to issue repaired stock and clicks the change button the system will prompt the user to enter an account or node if it does not already exists on the order line.

hmtoggle_plus0Issued Quantity

This is the quantity specified when the Movement transaction Stores to Order Requirements or material back flushing of material via the Production to Stores, Production to Customer

or Production to Crating movements are  performed.

 

The field displays the net quantity issued and will also reflect any returns from Order Requirements to Stores.

hmtoggle_plus0Line Number

It is the number assigned to a specific event/delivery/item for a purchase, customer or production order.

 

The order number along with the line number and completion date, forms a unique identifier.  It is a read only field that displays the line number selected on the "Line" tab.

hmtoggle_plus0Manufacturing Part Number

The manufacturing part number is the part that is actually manufactured on the shop floor it can be the order line part or a phantom for which part operations exists.

For a requirement part this is part into which this requirement is built The field is populated with a distinct list from the product structure of the order line part and the requirements table for the order line key.

hmtoggle_plus0Order Quantity

It is a read only field that displays the order quantity of the selected line.

hmtoggle_plus0Order Type

It is a read only field that displays the order type selected on the "Line" tab.

hmtoggle_plus0Order Number

It is a unique alphanumeric number identifying an order.

 

It is a read only field that displays the order number selected on the "Header" tab.

hmtoggle_plus0Original Planned Part Number

When requirement part substitution is perform via the part substitution function then the part being substituted becomes the original planned part number

A user can also perform substitutions via the requirement function itself but the n the user must insert the original planned part number

The system will perform checks that the sum of the proportionate order yield qty for the requirement part and where the requirement part is referenced as the original planned part number equals the order line quantity ordered

This field will be populated with a distinct list of Parent Part numbers (Phantoms) that exits in the structure of the order line part And in the requirements table for the order line key.

hmtoggle_plus1Part Number

It is the part required for this operation.  It is populated with part numbers from the Part Master table.

 

The number of characters to be entered before the list is shown is governed by the value of "populate length" (mandatory).  When a record is selected in the "Requirements" list box, the part number of the record is displayed in this field.

 

The requirements for the following Order and Line types can be adjusted:

 

Order types Production, Rework, Repair and Modification, Customer Order Line types Product/Spare sale and Customer Special with Explode Requirements checked, and Repair,

Purchase Order with line types Modification, Repair and Rework.

 

When a new requirement is added, the part number must be selected here.

 

Decimal Quantities will only be allowed if 'Decimal Movements Allowed' on the Part Master table allows it.

hmtoggle_plus0Picking Status

This is a read only field that displays the status of the line. It displays whether no stock was picked for this line, or if stock was partially or fully picked for the selected line.

hmtoggle_plus0Planned Scrap

This field is applicable to order type "Prod" (Production)

And is derived from the plan scrap percent of the requirement part applicable in the product structure being exploded and will be inserted when a production order is created

This quantity is included in the required quantity.

hmtoggle_plus0Project Serial Number To

This is the serial number to field value as from the order line.

When the order line value is 0 then all the requirements value must also be 0, if not equal to zero then the value must be in the range of the order line

hmtoggle_plus0Project Serial Number From

This is the serial number from field value as from the order line.

When the order line value is 0 then all the requirements value must also be 0, if not equal to zero then the value must be in the range of the order line

hmtoggle_plus0Proportionate Order Yield Qty

This is the quantity what a specific requirement will satisfy of the order line quantity being ordered.

If the requirement part does not also exists as an original planned part number then this quantity must equal the order line quantity being ordered.

The system will perform checks that the sum of the proportionate order yield qty for the requirement part and where the requirement part is referenced as the original planned part number equals the order line quantity ordered.

The "Requirements" list box displays the deliver to ops, part number,

part description, required date, required quantity, allocated quantity,

issued quantity, scrapped quantity, material cost, the Average Unit Cost,

External Organization, Stock Status, Floor Stock, Planned Scrap, Project Serial Number From, Project Serial Number To, Original Planned Part Number, Proportionate Order Yield Qty, Revision Number, WBS Node and Parent Part number , Quantity Yielded, Running Average Cost, Manufacturing Part Number and Cross Reference Qty.

 

Floor Stock

The value to be inserted will be derived from the part master of the requirement part

 

Stock Status

The default is 'New' except if line type is 'Repair' and the required part is equal to the order line then the status will be "Waiting Repair"

 

Planned Scrap

This quantity is only applicable to order type "Prod" (Production)

And is derived from the plan scrap percent of the requirement part applicable in the product structure being exploded and will be inserted when a production order is created

This quantity is included in the required quantity

 

Project Serial Number From

If a project serial number from exists on the order line then this serial number from will be defaulted for each requirement. If a new requirement is to be phased in, in the process of determining the requirements the ranges applicable is derived from the product structure for the project.

 

Project Serial Number To

If a project serial number to exists on the order line then this serial number from will be defaulted for each requirement. If a new requirement is to be phased in, in the process of determining the requirements the ranges applicable is derived from the product structure for the project.

 

Original Planned Part Number

This will also be defaulted from the product structure for the project if applicable

 

Proportionate Order Yield Qty

The quantity this requirement will yield of the order line quantity

 

WBS Node

When executing the procedure "Create Scheduled Requirements" and a project exists on the order line

If for the Project, Order Line Part Number and Requirement Part Number a match is found on the table "Product_Structure_WBS_Node." Project, Parent Part and Component Part then the WBS_Node will be inserted in this column.

If no match is found then if a node exists on the order line then this node number will be inserted in the column

If no WBS Node can be found then a " " (Space) will be inserted in this column.

 

Parent Part Number

This is the direct parent (phantom part) of the requirement part, from which the requirement part was derived during the explosion of the product structure of the order line part

 

Manufacturing Part Number

The manufacturing part number is the part that is actually manufactured on the shop floor it can be the order line part or a phantom for which part operations exists.

For a requirement part this is part into which this requirement is built

 

Cross Reference Qty

This is the quantity of the requirement cross referenced and is updated via the order cross reference function

 

The 'Average Unit Cost' will only display if 'Stock Valuation Method' on the System Configuration setting is 'A'.  Another column will display 'Total Issued' that is calculated as 'Issued Quantity' times 'Average Unit Cost'.

 

When setting of 'Average Unit Cost' is 'S' only the current columns will apply.

 

The Requirement Value is equal to the (Material price + Labour price + Overhead price + Fixed Overhead price + Transfer price + Subcontract price) * the Required quantity as for the current financial year.

It provides the user with the option to view the requirements either by part or by deliver to operation.  Please note that the requirements displayed in the list box can be sorted further by clicking on a column heading.

The required quantity cannot be less than (the quantity issued + the quantity allocated) or it cannot be less than zero.

 

The Up Adjustment of requirement quantities is allowed but subject to the Ratio Checker.

 

Decimal Quantities are allowed.

hmtoggle_plus0Revision Number

When maintaining requirements the user can also add a revision to a specific requirement

The user will be able to select from the dropdown list a revision that exists on the table Part Revision for the requirement part.

hmtoggle_plus0Scrapped Quantity

It is updated from the Order Requirements to Scrap movement.

 

It displays the quantity scrapped for the selected requirement part.

 

The quantity scrapped may never exceed the quantity issued.

This is only a display field for the selected requirement record.

When the "Search" button is clicked, the "Requirements" list box is populated according to the criteria selected.

hmtoggle_plus0Substitutes

When the "Substitutes" button is clicked, the user is taken to the Part Substitutes function where they can view or replace the requirements with a substitute for the part selected (if there are any).

hmtoggle_plus0Specific Manufacturing Part

By selecting a manufacturing part number the user can limit the requirements list to only show requirements belonging to the part selected.

hmtoggle_plus0Specific Parent Part

By selecting a parent part number the user can limit the requirements list to only show requirements belonging to the part selected.

hmtoggle_plus0Stock On Order

It displays all the outstanding released replenishments for the selected line part.

 

On Repair stock line parts, the Stock on Order will also include Repair line types.

 

The required part for the repair order however, will not show any stock on order for Repair order line parts, only the Waiting Repair stock will be displayed.

hmtoggle_plus0Stock On Hand

When "Quarantine" is selected, the quarantine stock will be included, otherwise it will be subtracted from the Quantity on Hand.

 

When "All Divisions" is selected, the Stock on Hand value reflects all stock with the appropriate status.

 

When "All Divisions" is not selected, the Stock on Hand value only reflects the stock belonging to this specific order line division.

hmtoggle_plus0Stock

Displays the "Quarantine" and "All Divisions" check boxes.

 

Quarantine

When checked, quarantine stock will be included, otherwise it will be subtracted from the Quantity on Hand.

 

All Divisions

When checked, the Stock on Hand value reflects all stock with the appropriate status.  When unchecked, the Stock on Hand value only reflects the stock belonging to this specific order

line division.

hmtoggle_plus0Sort Requirements

It provides the user with the option to view the requirements either by part or by deliver to operation.  Please note that the requirements displayed in the list box can be sorted further

by clicking on a column heading.

hmtoggle_plus0WBS Node

If for the order line only a node exists then this field will be populated with the order line node and all nodes in this nodes structure.

If for the order line a project and node exists then this field will be populated with all nodes for the project

hmtoggle_plus0View Requirements

The user must select one of the following options for viewing requirements:

 

All

Displays all the requirements

 

Outstanding

Displays requirements where the required quantity is greater than the issued quantity. All Floor Stock parts where 'Apply Floor Stock' is unchecked.

 

Issued

Display requirements where issued quantity is equal to required quantity.

 

The requirement view option is defaulted to "All Requirements".

 

Provides 2 options for viewing parts, namely:

 

All Excluding Floor Stock

Default is unchecked. When selected, all stock will be displayed but stock where 'Apply Floor Stock' exist for selected parts will be excluded.

 

Floor Stock Only

Default is unchecked.  When selected, only Floor Stock will display where 'Apply Floor Stock' exist for the selected parts.

 

The option for both fixed and non-fixed account parts will be checked by default.

hmtoggle_plus0View Requirements Cost Breakdown

This checkbox, if clicked, displays the detail cost elements that makes up the cost of the requirement part on the far right.

Currently it displays the columns but does not populate the values yet.

hmtoggle_plus1Substitutes Available

This is a check box and will be checked and disabled if for the selected requirement part substitutes exists in the table “Part Standard Item” or “Product Structure Substitutes”.

hmtoggle_plus1Part UOM

This field will display the unit of measure code from the table “Part Master” for the selected requirement part.
