The purpose of this function is to support the user in the decision making process regarding sales. This means that it would be possible for the user to make delivery promises to the client, to evaluate the feasibility of an immediate shipment irrespective the current committed sales and to the revise the current committed sales status etc.

 

The following information will be displayed:

Total Allocated Stock, Total Allocated WIP, Total Unallocated Stock and Total Unallocated Requirements. The detail values for the mentioned total values can be view in the Sales Requirements List Box.

 

After selecting the applicable Part Number or Catalogue Part Number customer order requirements will be displayed under the following conditions:

 

Customer order lines where the line type is equal to product sales or spares sales.

Customer order lines where the value for the setting explodes requirements on the order line is set to no (0).

If the requirements issued quantity + requirements allocated = zero then requirements will only be displayed where the required date is less than or equal to the selected requirements will be displayed where the applicable customer order line status is equal to firmed or released.

 

On this tab the following fields can be viewed:

 

hmtoggle_plus1Catalogue Name

The external organisation name (External Organisation table) and code (External Org Parts table) are populated in this combo box.

 

The number of characters to be entered before the list is shown is governed by the value of 'populate length" (optional).

hmtoggle_plus1Catalogue Part Number

The catalogue part number and description are populated from the External Org Parts table for the selected Catalogue Name under the following conditions:

 

This combo box will only be enabled after a catalogue name was selected in the catalogue name combo box.

 

If a catalogue name was selected, only catalogue part numbers that exist as selling records on the External Org Parts table (Selling Record External Organisation Parts) will be populated where the selected catalogue name is equal to the catalogue name on the External Org Parts table.

 

If a catalogue name and Part Number were selected, the catalogue part number will be default in the catalogue part number combo box from the External Org Parts table where this catalogue part number exists as a selling record on the External Org Parts table)  and where the unit of measure code (External Org Parts Table) of the defaulted catalogue part number is equal to the unit of measure code (Part Master table) of the selected part number.

It is a read only field that displays the description from the Part Master table where the part number matches the part number the user entered in the Part Number combo box.

This combo box will only be enabled if the View Stock check box is checked. When opened then division codes with their descriptions will be populated from the Division table.

 

If the division is selected in the Division combo box then only stock belonging to the selected division will be used to calculate the stock quantity.

The user has to be in possession of the profile named Sales Allocation View Inquiry rights.

hmtoggle_plus1Part Number

The Part Number is populated with the Part Number and description under the following conditions:

 

If no catalogue name is selected, part numbers will be populated from the Part Master table.

 

If a Catalogue Name was selected, only part numbers with selling records will be populated from External Org Parts table.

 

If a Catalogue Name and Catalogue Part Number were selected, the part number will be default in the part number combo box from the External Org Parts table where this part number exists as a selling record on the External Org Parts table and where the unit of measure code (Part Master Table) of the defaulted part number is equal to the unit of measure code (External Org Parts table) of the catalogue part number.

 

The number of characters to be entered before the list is shown is governed by the value of the "populate length" (mandatory).

hmtoggle_plus1Requirements Till

On form load this date will be defaulted to today's date. The purpose of this date is to govern the population of requirements if the following condition applies:

 

If the requirement issued quantity + requirement allocated quantity equals zero (Requirements table), requirements will be populated in the Sales Requirements list where the requirements required date is less than or equal to the selected requirements till date.

The Show button will only be enabled after a Part Number was selected in the Part Number combo box and where the user is in possession of a profile linked to the screen Sales Allocation View with an access allowed of Inquiry.

 

When the show button is applied, requirements will be populated in the Sales Requirements list box under the following conditions:

 

 Where the order type equals customer order.

 And where the line type equals either product sales or spares sales.

And where the setting for the Explode Requirements on the customer order line equals no (Unchecked).

And if the (Issued Quantity + Allocated Quantity) equals zero, requirements will be populated where the required date of the requirement(s) is less than or equal to the selected Requirements Till date.

And If the (Issued Quantity + Allocated Quantity) is greater than zero, requirements will be populated where the customer order line status is equal to firmed or released.

hmtoggle_plus1Sales Requirements

After a Part Number was selected and the Show button clicked, the following sales information regarding the selected part number will be displayed:

 

Customer, Sales Order, Line, Ship Date, Stock Allocation, WIP Allocation and Not Issued/Allocated.

 

The Stock Allocation value is calculated as follows:

The Allocated Quantity populated from the Requirements table.

 

The WIP Allocation value is calculated as follows:

The Issued Quantity - Quantity Complete populated from the Requirements table.

 

The Not Issued/Allocated value is calculated as follows:

The Required Quantity - Issued Quantity - Scrapped Quantity - Allocated Quantity populated from the Requirements table.

This combo box will only be enabled if the View Stock check box is checked and a division was selected in the Division combo box (View Stock frame).

 

When this combo box is opened, store codes with their respective store descriptions will be populated from the 'Store' table.

 

If the Division and Store are selected in the Division and store combo boxes, only stock belonging to the selected division and store will be used to calculate the stock quantity.

hmtoggle_plus1Total Unallocated Requirements

This is a read only text box and the value is calculated as follows:

 

Total unallocated Requirements + Sum (Required Quantity - Issued Quantity - Scrapped Quantity - Allocated Quantity).

This text box is a read only text box and the value equals the sum of the requirements allocated quantity (Requirements table).

hmtoggle_plus1Total Allocated Wip

This is a read only text box and the value is calculated as follows:

 

Total Allocated WIP = Sum (Issued Quantity (Requirements table) - Quantity Complete (Order Line table).

hmtoggle_plus1Total Unallocated Stock

This is a read only text box and the value is calculated as follows:

 

The stock on hand value is selected from the Location table where the part number on the Location table equals the selected part number, the stock status (Location table) equals zero, the organisation code (Location table) equals spaces and the quarantine quantity (Location table) equals zero then the locations for each part number's quantity on hand is summed.

The purpose of this frame is to enable the user to indicate if stock needs to be viewed either for a specified Division only or for a specified Store belonging to the selected division.

hmtoggle_plus1Unit Of Measure

It is a read only field that displays the unit of measure code from the Part Master table for the selected Part Number.
