This function is used to uniquely define the use or application scenario of a product for the purpose of product maintenance, support and logistical support analysis.

 

INQUIRE

The user must have a security profile linked to the function Scenario with an access allowed of Inquire.

 

On this tab the following fields can be viewed:

The user must have a security profile linked to the function Scenario with an access allowed of Add.

 

The "Add" button is enabled when a new scenario code is entered.  When the "Add" button is clicked, the new code, status, creator and description are inserted into the Scenario table.

 

BUSINESS RULES WHEN ADDING A SCENARIO CODE:

 

1.The scenario code may not be spaces.
2.The scenario description must be greater than 3 characters.
3.The scenario status may only be Dormant, Planned or Executed.
4.The creator must exist and must have an employee status of either active or unavailable.

The user must have a security profile linked to the function Scenario with an access allowed of Change.

 

The "Change" button is enabled when an existing scenario code is selected.  When the "Change" button is clicked, the description, status and the creator of the selected scenario code are updated on the Scenario table.

 

BUSINESS RULES WHEN ADDING A SCENARIO CODE:

 

1.The scenario code may not be spaces.
2.The scenario description may not be less than 3 characters.
3.The scenario status may only be Dormant, Planned or Executed.
4.The creator must exist and must have an employee status of either active or unavailable.

It is populated with the scenario code and description from the Scenario table.

 

The number of characters to be entered before the list is shown is governed by the value of "populate length" (mandatory).

It is populated with the surname, first name, middle initial and employee ID from the Employee Master table where the status is Active "A" or Unavailable "U".

The user must have a security profile linked to the function Scenario with an access allowed of Delete.

 

The "Delete" button is enabled when an existing scenario code is selected.  When the "Delete" button is clicked, the scenario code is deleted from theScenario table.

 

The delete will not be performed if this Scenario Code exists on any of the following:

It is a short narrative description of the code selected.  It is an alphanumeric field where the length must be between 3 and 255 characters (mandatory).

A status of either Executed, Dormant, or Planned must be selected.  It is only an information field, not referenced elsewhere.
