On this tab the following fields can be viewed:

hmtoggle_plus1Add

The  button is enabled when a deliver to operation is selected in the "Available Del To Ops" list box.

When the  button is clicked, the deliver to operation selected in the "Available Del to Ops" list box is removed and added to the "Include Del to Ops" list box to be included in the shortage analysis.

hmtoggle_plus1Add All

When the  button is clicked, all deliver to operations in the "Available Del to Ops" list box are removed and added to the "Include Del to Ops" list box to be included in the shortage analysis.

hmtoggle_plus1Available Del to Ops

"Deliver to OPS" is a term used to describe which requirements are needed during which operation.  It is populated with deliver to operations from the Requirements table for the selected line number a completion date.

It displays all the available operations specified for the requirements of the selected order line.

The available deliver to operations can be selected and moved to the list box Included Deliver to Operations, which will be used to perform the shortage check.  If an operation is selected and moved to the Included list box, it will be removed from the Available list box.

hmtoggle_plus1Include All Deliver to Ops

"Deliver to OPS" is a term used to describe which requirements are needed during which operation.  The default setting will include all "Available Del to Ops" that are specified for the requirements of the selected order line.

If all deliver to ops are checked, the Available Deliver to Operation and the Included Deliver to Operation list boxes will be disabled and the shortage check will be performed on all the requirements on the order regardless the deliver to operations on the order.

When unchecked, the option will clear the included "Include Del to Ops" list and repopulate the "Available Del to Ops" list box.  At least one deliver to operation must be selected before the shortage check will be performed.

hmtoggle_plus1Include Del to Ops

When "Include All Deliver to Ops" is checked, this list box is populated with all the deliver to operations from the Requirements table, for the selected order number and line number and Completion date.

It displays all operations specified for the requirements of the selected order line to be included in the shortage analysis.

If "Include All Deliver to Ops" is unchecked, the user must at least copy one deliver to operation to this list box to be included in the shortage analysis.

For requirements with no deliver to operations specified, the word SPACES must be selected to perform a shortage check in this mode.

hmtoggle_plus1Include Requirements up to

It defaults to the order line completion date on the Order Line table of the selected Order Line.  The user can select a date between the order line starting date and completion date.

The selected date will result in the shortage check being limited to requirements of the selected order line and other orders, having a required date on the Requirements table equal to, or less than the selected date.

hmtoggle_plus1Include Replenishment Status

When selecting any of the statuses i.e. Planned (P), Released (R) or Firm (F), all open replenishment orders for the required parts are included in the available stock calculation, (stock on hand plus any outstanding replenishing quantity).

The statuses can either be selected, or unselected.  All outstanding quantities of replenishment orders with a status corresponding to the checked statuses will be included.

Only replenishing order lines with a completion date equal to or less than the completion date of the selected order line, and where the line status is selected, will be included.

The check boxes default to unchecked, thus performing the shortage check on the selected order line with only available stock taken into account.

hmtoggle_plus1Move Order By Number of Days

It defaults to zero.  The spinner can be used to change the number of days else just type a new number of days.

By moving the number of days it acts as a simulation tool to determine the feasibility of rescheduling the order line to an earlier date or to determine whether rescheduling the order to a later date might lessen the number of shortages.

The number of days specified will be added or subtracted to the existing completion date to calculate the simulated date.  This adjusts the date up to which requirements, from other order lines and replenishment orders, will be included accordingly.

Entering a positive value will simulate a later completion date and entering a negative value will simulate an earlier completion date on the selected order. Valid values are from -90 to 90 calendar days.

hmtoggle_plus1Order Shortages By

Displays the results in the selected sequence i.e. Part, Required date; Required date, part; Del to Op, required date; Buyer, part and Planner, part.

hmtoggle_plus1Remove

The  button is enabled when a deliver to operation is selected in the "Include Del to Ops" list box.

When the  button is clicked, the selected deliver to operation is removed from the "Include Del to Ops" list box and added to the "Available Del to Ops" list box.

hmtoggle_plus1Remove All

When the  button is clicked, the all deliver to operations are removed from the "Include Del to Ops" list box and are added to the "Available Del to Ops" list box.

hmtoggle_plus1Status

A status of New, Used, Repaired or any combination of the three must be selected for the shortage analysis.

For normal production requirements, the default setting will include new stock only.

hmtoggle_plus1Stock

The settings in this frame determine the attributes of stock status and stock ownership to be included in the calculation of the quantity on hand for the purpose of shortage analysis.

Selecting and/or de selecting of the stock statuses provides the user with simulation abilities i.e. including stock in inspection might help the user in deciding the feasibility of executing the order. The default setting allows the user access to stock as it is normally available for usage.

Deviating from the standard settings may result in the actual shortages not being displayed.

hmtoggle_plus1With Status

The check boxes allow the user to include, by checking the specific status boxes or exclude by un checking the status boxes, to include the requirements of other orders competing for the same component as the selected order.

By unchecking for instance Planned orders, the user might assume that since the order has not yet been released, the component(s), which become available, may be used for the selected order.

All the statuses are checked by default, thus including all requirements, which will normally be included by MRP.
