This Structure Maintenance tab is applied to create and maintain the primary parent/component relationships in a Bill of material.

 

It is thus applied to add or remove items from the structure and a few modes are provided to achieve this.

 

The primary mode is to specify a 'Maintained parent part'  and to link individual component parts to the parent or to copy component parts from the BOM of another parent part.

 

When a parent part is selected, all linked components will be visible in the list view.

 

A linked component can then be selected and the details of the link can be specified/maintained on the other applicable tabs provided.
