It displays the results of the supply demand analysis and displays the order, action, line, type, status, quantity, open quantity, due date and quantity available.

 

The value in the "Action" column indicates what action if any must be taken.  The following actions relate to 'Start Order':

 

"Sim" indicates that the suggested planned order is a result of a simulation MRP run.  This action message if for analysis only, for example, for a "What If" scenario, and not for actual execution.

 

"None" indicates that no action is to be taken.

 

"Strt" indicates that MRP is suggesting that a planned replenishment order is to be executed.

 

"Strt<" gives an exception message indicating that the order quantity suggested by MRP for the planned order is less than the minimum order quantity, specified for the part, on the Part Master table.

 

"Strt>" gives an exception message indicating that the order quantity suggested by MRP for the planned order is greater than the maximum order quantity, specified for the part, on the Part Master table.

 

"StrtOb" is where MRP indicates that the part for which the order has been suggested has a life cycle of Obsolete on the Part Master table.

 

The following actions relate to rescheduling:

 

Reschedule-In - For existing firm and released orders, MRP indicates that the order is required earlier and that you should reschedule the order for an earlier.

 

Reschedule-Out - For existing firm and released orders, MRP indicates that it has detected that the order is going to arrive to early, and that it should be rescheduled out to a later date when it is actually needed.

 

Excess on Order "Excess" - MRP indicates that the entire order is not required.  It indicates that, even though it requires a portion of the quantity on order, there is too much on order, and that a portion can be cancelled as it will result in excess inventory.

 

Cancel Order "Cancel" - MRP suggests that you cancel the order, as it cannot find an application, for even one component, that is on order.

 

 

If the projected available quantity is greater than or equal to the safety stock level, the available quantity will be displayed in Green.

 

If the projected available quantity is greater than or equal to zero but is less than the safety stock level, the available quantity will be displayed in Yellow.

 

If the projected available quantity is less than zero, the available quantity will be displayed in Red.

 

When you click on an entry in the grid, one of the following forms will be displayed depending on whether the entry selected is a requisition, a requirement, or a replenishment line, and are populated with the detail of the entry selected:

 

Supply Demand Order Detail

Supply Demand Requisition Detail

 

These forms will not be shown for "Safety Stock".

 

OPEN QTY

When calculating the open quantity for replenishment orders, the Yield Percentage as stated on the Part Master will be applied I.E. if the open quantity equals 112 and the Part Master yield percentage equals 90%, the displayed open quantity is calculated as follows:

 

112 * 90/100 = 100.8.

 

Since decimals are ignored, 100 will be displayed as the open quantity.
